Mythology is outdated.

The core of the Hindu Mythology:

The good triumph over the evil;

Goddess tramples to death demons;

Devas triumph over asuras.

Asuras represent the aboriginals.

Devas represent the invaders.

A racial supremacy

Was planted in the soil of natives.

The chiefs of asuras are always cruel.

Devas are always at the receiving end.

God or Goddess will come down the earth

And annihilate them. Aboriginals like it.
